2012 Tampa StartupBus Introduces PopcornU

A team on the 2012 Tampa StartupBus www.startupbus.com which left Tampa on Tuesday, March 6 is working on a new children's educational app called PopcornU.

The StartupBus participants have three days on a bus and one day in Austin, TX to develop their idea and record a two-minute video. If selected, they will present to venture capitalists and other investors (think "Shark Tank").  Past winners have received million dollar investments in their startup. Even if a team doesn't win 1st place, they may still receive funding. There are 11 buses from all over the country converging on Austin on Friday, March 9. Each bus has multiple teams. The Tampa bus has four teams working on different ideas. The StartupBus is now officially part of the South by Southwest Festival http://sxsw.com/ - the nation's largest techy convention.
