"Remember the Disney character Tinker Bell, the fairy that fluttered about Peter Pan? Now, imagine a place filled with fairies and fairy-themed products, demanded by customers and shipped throughout the country and the world.

That place is a business in Tumwater called eFairies.com, an online and retail store run by owner and fairy godmother Shirley Ritter and her small staff.

Ritter, 65, didn’t start the business, but she bought it in 2010 after a long career as a nurse. She
worked in nursing for 40 years, including the last 25 years at Tacoma General Hospital working with premature babies or those babies who had to spend a few more days in the hospital before going home."
