Business Brokers of Florida (BBF) announced an the end of the first quarter
of 2014 that it appears the business brokerage business is getting stronger because both the number of transactions and the average dollar amount for the
first quarter increased over the 2013 levels.
The number
of transactions for the first seven months of 2014 is up 7% which shows a
continuing trend of increasing completed sales. However the best news in that
the average transaction amount is up 18% which means more commission earned by
BBF members. While we have not returned to 2007 and 2008 levels this increase is
significant.
I am posting the average sales for the first
seven months for the past few years so you can compare.
Year Average Sold

2010 $268,260
2011 $276,955
2012 $224,445
